Plantar Fasciitis

Plantar Fascia is the thick band that attaches the toes to the heel bone. It runs across the bottom of your foot. If you are feeling heel pain, it could because of Plantar Fasciitis. It is most often seen in runners, pregnant women, people who wear shoes that do not support their feet, and overweight individuals. Normally, it is only a stabbing pain that happens in the heel of the foot at the beginning of the day, with the first few steps you take. Then, the pain eventually fades as you continue walking. The pain is also only, usually, felt in one foot, but it is not impossible to feel the pain in both feet. Call Dr. Beth Snyder, DC today to get information on how medication, physical therapy, Shockwave Therapy, and possibly surgery can help you with the pain and discomfort of Plantar Fasciitis.
